NSW:Doctor pleads guilty on deception charges

SYDNEY, Feb 8 AAP - A former NSW doctor has admitted carrying out obstetric procedures
while being banned from such work.

In the NSW District Court on Tuesday, the former doctor - who cannot be named for legal
reasons - pleaded guilty to obtaining a financial advantage by deception.

According to an agreed statement of facts, he was found guilty in 1997 of unsatisfactory
conduct after complaints by nine former patients.

The NSW Medical Board then banned him from practising clinical obstetrics and imposed
conditions on him in …
