FED:Australian animals mistreated in Turkey= 4

Nationals Senate leader Barnaby Joyce said he did not want to see the government make
another "erratic decision" on live exports, putting at risk Australia's relations with
its trading partners.

"You don't deal with your neighbours by tying a note to a brick and throwing it through
their front window," Senator Joyce told reporters in Canberra.

"If we go down this path again we are not going to make good neighbours, we are going
to make bad ones, and that is not the sort of neighbour Australia wants to be.

"This is far deeper than the emotive chess-playing the Greens are playing at, because
we know what the ultimate agenda is - ultimately they would like to shut down the cattle
trade full stop."
