Vic: Anzac remembered more than ever

Victoria's RSL state president DAVID MCLACHLAN says as the original Anzac day drifts
further into history .. Australians seem more intent than than ever on connecting with
the Gallipoli legend.

Speaking from Turkey where he'll attend the Anzac Day service at Anzac Cove .. Mr MCLACHLAN
says there's a growing awareness among Australians of the sacrifice made by the soldiers.

Mr MCLACHLAN says around seven thousand Australians are expected at the Gallipoli service
this year .. which is also being attended by the Governor of Victoria DAVID DE KRETSER.

In Melbourne .. more than 35 thousand people are expected to be at the dawn service
at the Shrine of Remembrance .. to mark the 94th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing.
